William McMahon III

William McMahon IIIWilliam ("Bill") McMahon has served as president of CoaLogix since March 2005. He joined CoaLogix with 28 years of business operations, sales, marketing and engineering experience including more than 25 years in the energy and utility industries. Prior to joining CoaLogix, Mr. McMahon was group vice president of the Ultrapure Water division of Ionics, Inc., where he led 14 subsidiaries in both the U.S. and internationally, generating more than $250 million in annual revenues. From 1997 to 2000, he held several executive level positions including chairman, president and chief executive officer of Pantellos, a leading supply chain solutions company serving the energy industry; president and chief executive officer of Stone & Webster Sonat Energy Resources; and president of Stone & Webster Energy Services Inc. From 1978 to 1997, Mr. McMahon held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing management at DB Riley, Inc., a leading supplier of steam generating, fuel firing and environmental equipment for electric utilities and industry, and at The Babcock & Wilcox Company, a world leader in power generation equipment design, supply and service including SCR systems for coal-fired power plants. During his tenure at DB Riley, Mr. McMahon launched their environmental business (now Babcock Power) utilizing technology from Germany. This division grew to become the leading environmental firm in the U.S. supplying air pollution control systems. Mr. McMahon began his career as a service engineer at Babcock & Wilcox, starting up coal-fired power plants and environmental equipment, and quickly worked his way up to District Sales Manager. Bill sailed in the British Virgin Islands where he dove on the sunken RMS Rhone in over 75 feet of water. Mr. McMahon earned a B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Xavier University.
